Archaeologist Dr. Russell “Rusty” Greaves will deliver the Maxwell’s Annual Ancestors Lecture. Dr. Greaves has over 35 years experience, primarily in the American West. He has performed long-term ethno- archaeological and behavioral ecology research with Pumé foragers of Venezuela since 1990. This talk combines ethnoarchaeological fieldwork, examination of multiple museum collections, and archival documents to address strategic use of women’s and men’s foraging tools and food acquisition techniques.
