Overview
The Latin American and Iberian Institute (LAII) awards various types of funding to students, faculty, departments, and organizations to promote study, research, curriculum, and outreach related to Latin America and Iberia.
Faculty Funding
We support faculty across campus by providing funds for faculty research, travel, and curriculum development.
Student Funding
We offer funding opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students within and beyond the Latin American Studies program.
Visiting Researcher Funding
Through the Richard E. Greenleaf Visiting Library Scholar program we support visiting researchers who seek to use UNM's Latin American library collections, one of the largest and most complete such resources in the country.
Event Funding
We support events that promote a greater understanding and awareness of Latin America and Iberia across disciplines.
Expectations for Acknowledgment
We ask that funding recipients formally acknowledge the Institute's role in supporting their scholarly research.
