LAII Convenes Iberianist Working Group

May 12, 2014

In Fall 2013, the Latin American & Iberian Institute (LAII) convened a working group of Iberianist scholars at the University of New Mexico (UNM). The working group represents an effort to connect the many renowned Iberianist scholars at UNM, and to promote their activities and accomplishments.

The working group met several times during the 2013-2014 academic year to discuss connections across departments, examine potential projects, and organize relevant lectures. As the end of the year approaches, the LAII is pleased to share another outcome of these meetings - an inventory of Iberianist expertise among UNM faculty. This inventory documents Iberianist research across seven different departments and colleges on campus.
