Our work at the LAII is embedded within a local, regional, national, and international community of scholars focused on Latin America and Iberia. We welcome visiting researchers with similar or complementary scholarship.
LAII-affiliated scholars regularly access institutional resources, engage with the research and teaching functions of the university, and facilitate institutional exchanges.
Each year the LAII supports visiting researchers by providing small grants through the Richard E. Greenleaf Visiting Library Scholar program.
The LAII fosters research within and beyond UNM by providing digital resources to support Latin American scholarship.
The University of New Mexico's Latin American library collections and resources are among the best in the country.
We're here to help answer any questions you may have about what it means to be an associated researcher with the LAII.
