MALAS
Environmental Governance & Resilience

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Albuquerque to complete undergraduate degrees in International Studies & Spanish at UNM. My father is from Argentina. My studies have been inspired by a desire to better understand my own ancestry and identity. I have worked in nonprofits focusing on improving literacy in Austin, TX and increasing food security in Lincoln, NE. The MALAS program at UNM provides an opportunity for me to combine my different interests and passions. I have the opportunity to think about environmental, racial, and social justice with a Latin American lens.

I love to find connections with people who have different backgrounds than I do. I also love the outdoors and feel happy when swimming and walking. I enjoy cooking, painting and photography for my creative outlets.
