Mary Louise Pratt is Professor emerita at New York University, where she taught in the Departments of Spanish and Portuguese, and Social and Cultural Analysis. She will be putting finishing touches on a collection of her essays titled Why the Virgin of Zapopan Went to Los Angeles: Mobility and the Cultural Imagination, to appear in 2021 with Duke University Press.
