Jason Dyck received a Greenleaf Visiting Library Award in Spring 2020 to support research on Indigenous People and Jesuits in Northwestern Mexico: Juan de Albizuri’s Historia de las misiones apostólicas (1633). At the time of the award, he was a lecturer of history at Carleton University (Ottawa) and the University of Western Ontario (London). Dyck’s research focuses on colonial religion, missionary work, and the craft of sacred history in the early modern Spanish world. He is currently working on a critical edition of Juan de Albizuri’s history of Jesuit missions in northwestern New Spain.
