History
The History concentration allows students to work with faculty specializing in Mexico, the Andes, Southern Cone, Brazil, Central America, as well as the US-Mexico Borderlands and Atlantic World. Regularly offered lecture courses and seminars cover pre-Columbian, Colonial, and National periods, as well as a wide range of historical themes, including the histories of women and gender, indigenous peoples, slavery, state-building, environment, economic development, religion, immigration, and US-Latin American relations.
