Economics

Students concentrating in Economics will learn how the embrace or rejection of neoclassical approaches has shaped economic development in Latin America, and how a broad understanding of economic theory can contribute to innovative solutions in the areas of poverty alleviation, health and education.  The Economics concentration enables students to see beyond narrow interpretations of economic models, and to harness the power of economic ideas and techniques to understand the experience of Latin American countries and peoples.
