Merideth Paxton

Dr. Merideth Paxton is an art historian, author, and editor. As a Research Associate with the LAII, Paxton is engaged in ongoing research, translation, and writing focused on the pre-Hispanic Maya of the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. She is particularly interested in paintings known from architectural contexts and the codices (books) as well as aspects of European intellectual history that have influenced perceptions of these people.
