The goal of my research is to critically examine the intersection of socioeconomic status and women's intimate lives in Uruguay and Argentina throughout the 20th century. By investigating the historical narrative as far back as the early 1900s, this study aims to amplify the voices and experiences of women within diverse workplace environments while considering the broader implications of their family life and gender roles in society. By providing a comprehensive analysis of these often-overlooked lives, this historical perspective enriches contemporary discussions on social inequality, labor history, and gender equity in Latin America
