The goal of my research is to critically examine the intersection of socioeconomic status and women's sexualities in Uruguay and Argentina throughout the 20th century. By investigating the historical narrative as far back as the early 1900s, this study aims to amplify the voices and experiences of women within diverse workplace environments without disregarding the role of sexuality. By providing a comprehensive analysis of these often-overlooked lives, this study will contribute significantly to the understanding of how socioeconomic factors shape the sexual identities and experiences of women in this region, thereby enriching the broader discourse on gender and socioeconomic disparities.
