Research Title : The Rights of Nature in Brazil
This project investigates how the Rights of Nature (RoN) are being locally implemented in the Northeast of Brazil, focusing on the pioneer municipalities that first passed RoN laws. It involves qualitative research, including field visits and document review, to collect information on local developments. The project offers a descriptive account of these cases and contributes to broader academic discussions on environmental policy and governance in Brazil and Latin America. Findings may support future research or provide contextual material for comparative studies in related areas.
