Denisse Vasquez-Guevara is a Tenure Assistant Professor of the College of Communication Sciences at the Universidad de Cuenca where she teaches in the fields of Strategic Communication, Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility and Communication Consulting. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Advertising and Master’s Degree in Marketing Communications at the Universidad de Azuay, and is a PhD candidate in the Latin American Studies program where she concentrates in Communication and Journalism and Built Environment.

Vasquez-Guevara’s research interests include science communication for local development in Latin America, women empowerment and development through higher education, and public outreach for sustainable development.
