Student Conference Travel Support
To support ongoing professional development, the LAII provides conference travel support to graduate students enrolled in a Latin American Studies degree program.
Students presenting papers at a scholarly or professional conference may receive up to $300 toward travel expenses.
All graduate students formally enrolled in a Latin American Studies MA, dual degree, or PhD program are eligible to receive this funding, including U.S. permanent residents, undocumented students, and international students.
To receive this conference travel support, students must complete a brief application and submit it to the LAII. Awards are based on the availability of funding and will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis during the academic year.
The LAII asks that funding recipients formally acknowledge the Institute's role in supporting their scholarship. Please review our complete Expectations for Acknowledgement for more details.
