What are your doing now and what have been some of your professional highlights?

Previously, I was the 2016-2017 Katrin H. Lamon Resident Scholar at the School for Advanced Research in Santa Fe, NM. I earned my Ph.D. in Sociocultural Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2017--graduating with a Thematic Concentration in U.S.-Mexico Borderlands, as well as with Graduate Portfolios in both Mexican American and Latina/o Studies and Native American and Indigenous Studies. Currently, I am a 2017-2018 University of California President's Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Anthropology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Outside of academia, I am currently an AIO Ambassador with Americans for Indian Opportunity as well as an advisor for the Latino Studies Program at the School for Advanced Research.
