MALAS
Environmental Governance & Resilience

I was born and raised in Paraguay, and after graduating high school in Norway, I came to the US for college. I received a dual degree in Environmental Sustainability and Italian in May 2020, and my main academic interests are feminist geography, decolonial thought, and human-environment relationships.

I decided to attend the MALAS program because of the possibility of taking an interdisciplinary approach to studying Latin America. I know I want to keep studying issues that are close to home, and this program allows me to do that through that lens while focusing on environmental injustice in the region.
