UNM Theater and Dance Department Opening Show Highways and Heartbeats

UNM’s Theatre & Dance Department recently opened its season with Highways and Heartbeats, a Route 66–inspired production featuring hip hop, Spanish folk music, and flamenco led by LAII affiliated faculty member Marisol Encinias, UNM Associate Professor of Theatre and Dance.  
 
Encinias highlighted flamenco as a powerful convergence of cultures, perfect for honoring the legacy of Route 66. The performances showcased the talent, dedication, and community spirit of UNM’s renowned flamenco program.
