Dr. Lane selected as fellow of the American association of Geographers

The LAII congratulates Dr. Maria Lane, dean of Graduate Studies and professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental studies, for being selected as a fellow for the American Association of Geographers!

The AGG is one of the highest honors in the field of geography, which recognizes geographers who have contributed significantly to the field. Lane’s work “demonstrates how historical inquiry deepens understanding by illuminating the forces that continue to shape our present.”
