Celebrating 40 years of Latin American and Iberian Studies at The University of New Mexico!
Since 1979, the Latin American and Iberian Institute has been supporting UNM students and faculty by furthering scholarship and research related to Latin America and Iberia. Throughout our strong history, we’ve remained dedicated to promoting a greater understanding between the US and Latin America.
To celebrate, we’re gathering at Hodgin Hall Alumni Center on Tuesday, Oct. 22 for a reception and casual presentation with alumni from each of the last four decades on how the LAII has positively influenced their professional trajectory. Please RSVP so we know you’re joining us.
$40 for 40 years
Whether we helped you finish your dissertation, launch your career trajectory, conduct research, or simply strengthen your interest in Latin American studies, we’re proud of our alumni and friends and want to continue to help support future students embark on similar endeavors. In honor of our 40th Anniversary, we’re asking for donations of $40 or more to help support the LAII and the vast range of programming we offer. You can make your donation on the UNM Foundation website or by visiting the LAII and donating in person with cash or check.
