Why Study Abroad? -- find out from students who have done just that.

We now offer study abroad in Brazil for those studying Portuguese.

If you speak Spanish almost fluently
You can study in Spain or Latin America for one semester or a full academic year. You should have the equivalent of 5 semesters of language and should have completed at least 50 hours of course work as a UNM undergraduate or graduate student. You pay regular UNM tuition, and you may use scholarships and/or financial aid. You are responsible for all travel, housing, medical insurance, books, visa applications, and incidental expenses.

If you are a beginning or intermediate Spanish student you may participate in the Intensive Language Programs
in Mexico or Spain. You do not need to be a UNM student.

Study in Mexico/Canada/U.S.
The CONAHEC Exchange allows students to study in Mexico/Canada/US.

NMSU Study Abroad Programs also available
As a member of the New Mexico International Education Consortium, UNM students can apply to any of the study abroad programs in the consortium.
