Resources: Endowments

In 2013, Russ Davidson, former Curator of Latin American & Iberian Collections in the University Libraries, created two separate endowments to support Latin American collections and programs:

  1. The Howard L. Karno Endowment for Latin American Pictorial Collections, established in May, 2013, will provide funds to enrich the library's holdings of rare and specialized Latin American visual resources.
  2. The James F. Zimmerman Endowment, established in October, 2013, will provide funds for the acquisition of specialized research materials from and about Latin America and, secondarily, will support programs, publications, and events that bring the University Libraries' acclaimed Latin American holdings to the attention of students and scholars locally, nationally, and internationally.
