Carlos oversees the publication of three weekly newsletters for the Latin America Digital Beat. As managing editor, he works with the assignment and copy editors to ensure that we have the most complete coverage and professionally written articles about Mexico, Central America & the Caribbean and South America. Carlos, who spent his childhood in Mexico, writes the majority of the articles for the LADB Mexico newsletter. He is uniquely suited for the job, having attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications/journalism and a Master of Business Administration in International Trade. Outside of the office, Carlos plays a leadership role with two advocacy and educational anti-hunger organizations: Bread for the World and the Interfaith Hunger Coalition. He enjoys sports, both as a follower (baseball, football, and fútbol) and a participant (bike riding).
