The Latin American & Iberian Institute (LAII) congratulates Dr. Margie Montañez on being highlighted by UCAM for her outstanding work curating UNM's Latin American collections which are among the University's most distinctive archival resources.

We would also like to recognize the LAII Graduate Assistants whose contributions helped make this work possible. Marco Ammatelli processed the Derli Romero Collection, Mark Campbell Roman inventoried, organized, and pre-processed the Yani Picanins Collection, and Angela Ronces Cortes will complete its final processing.

Thank you to Dr. Montañez and our dedicated GAs for their incredible work preserving and expanding access to these important collections.

We also encourage everyone to visit the Center for Southwest Research & Special Collections (CSWR), located inside Zimmerman Library at UNM, to explore its remarkable collections and learn more about the rich histories they preserve.
