Assessment

The grant staff can help assess the potential of an interested organization to engage at various levels in the scholarly communications field. This will involve:

• An analysis of their strengths
• The identification of their information technology needs
• The understanding of their developments in this area
• The application of appropriate technologies

Consultation

The grant personnel provides free consultation to potential partners on open access and other scholarly publishing concepts, technical issues relating to open access, and on broader digital library manpower, training, and development issues.

Training/Speakers

Project staff is available for training and presentations on information science and technologies and related topics. They can also provide high quality trainers in digital library services and electronic theses from and on Latin America.
