Faculty Conference Travel Support

The LAII provides travel faculty support for presenting papers at professional conferences.

Please complete the LAII Faculty Conference Travel Request Form at least six weeks in advance of your trip, and submit it to the Latin American and Iberian Institute, MSC02 1690, UNM campus or electronically to Vickie Nelson.

Funding priority is give to faculty who are attending and presenting at a conference or meeting dealing with Latin America or Iberia. Normally, LAII will fund only one request per academic year. The maximum funding allowed is 50% of the least expensive round trip airfare, or $350, whichever is less.
