The LAII, through its Operations Committee, funds lectures, presentations and other events that promote scholarship and outreach on Latin America and Iberia. Requests for funding should be submitted at least one month prior to the date of the event. While other submissions may be considered, they are less likely to receive funding than those submitted with sufficient notice. The LAII Operations Committee will not provide retroactive funding for events that have already taken place. The Committee will provide up to $500.00 for an event. Please note: for the remainder of the 2016-2017 academic year, we can only fund events primarily Latin American in content.
The following criteria are used to evaluate proposed events:
Event funding requests may be submitted to the LAII Operations Committee by filling out the Event Funding Request form. We ask that you download the form, save it to your computer, fill it out in its entirety, save it once more in its completed form, and then email the completed document (along with any supplementary documents) to the LAII Committee Graduate Assistant.
