CLARO's mission is to expand awareness, knowledge, and understanding of the Ibero-American world, through collection, production, and distribution of multidisciplinary educational materials to teachers, students, businesses, corporations, educational institutions, government entities, and community organizations.K

Claro strives to provide high quality educational and cultural programs to educators, professionals, and communities in the State of New Mexico.
CLARO serves the private and public sectors by offering workshops, seminars and conferences.
CLARO’s goals are:
- To reach an audience beyond the borders of the U.S.A.
- To interact with Ibero-American universities in the production of on-line interactive workshops, classes, symposia, and seminars
- To establish an international clearinghouse for the development and distribution of instructional materials
To better disseminate CLARO’s programs and services, CLARO actively develops collaborative partnerships, and resource sharing with government entities, educational institutions, and community organizations.

CLARO is supported by recurring and special appropriations funding from the New Mexico Legislature, the University of New Mexico’s Latin American and Iberian Institute; by resource sharing partnerships with the History and Literary Arts Division of the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the Spanish Resource Center, Instituto Cervantes, Pan-American Round Table 1, and most importantly, teachers and students in the State of New Mexico.
CLARO is the outreach branch of the UNM Latin American and Iberian Institute. Our professional staff is dedicated to expanding understanding of the Ibero-American world, and will be happy to help you:
