A Note for Prospective Students

We appreciate your interest in the Latin American and Iberian Institute and the Latin American Studies degree programs of the University of New Mexico. The Institute and the University constitute a vibrant and diverse place to study Latin America. Incoming Exchange Students

International students should send in LAS Applications and submit the materials listed to the Office of International Admissions.

The Latin American and Iberian Institute has an array of financial assistance opportunities, including assistantships, fellowships, and other aid possibilities.

Fulbright Scholar Program

CONACYT Scholarships/Becas (Powerpoint Presentation)

Mexico's Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT) has an agreement with UNM to fund and admit 10 Mexican students per year to study for a master's or doctorate degree in the sciences, technology or humanities.
