Academics: Prospective: Financing a Degree

Prospective students are encouraged to research the expenses of attending the University of New Mexico. To see an overview of estimated costs for residents and non-residents, visit the website for UNM Admissions & Recruitment Services.

UNM provides information concerning the various financial aid resources, scholarships, fellowships, and grants that are available to students. To learn more, visit the websites for the UNM Student Financial Aid Office and UNM Scholarships (jointly administered by the Office of Admissions and the Office of Financial Aid).

Graduate students have the benefit of additional potential funding resources. For an extensive list of scholarships, fellowships, and grants, students should consult with the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS). In addition, graduate students may be considered for additional funding support facilitated by the LAII, including tuition assistance, the tuition exchange benefits through the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), or a graduate assistantship.
